Meet Denise Hanlon, CPA

She helps business owners simplify their financial systems, uncover overlooked opportunities, and implement strategies that drive long-term success. With over 30 years of accounting experience — and 25 years focused on small and medium-sized businesses — she brings unmatched insight to fast-moving entrepreneurs.

Her early career in Fortune 500 corporate finance gave her deep expertise in management reporting, budgeting, and tax planning. But it was her passion for small business and entrepreneurship that inspired her to launch Hanlon CPA. Denise understands the unique financial dynamics business operators face: multi-entity complexity, rapid expansion, and the need for strategic, not reactive, support.

She is licensed as a CPA in Massachusetts, a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor, and a Certified Tax Coach. Denise holds a post-baccalaureate degree in accounting from the University of Massachusetts and a bachelor’s in business administration from Bryant University.

Denise has deep roots in the local community. She and her husband, Jim, make their home in Sharon, where they raised their family. Now that their children are grown and thriving in their own careers, Denise enjoys spending her time with loved ones, traveling, exploring new foods, hiking, and playing golf. Originally from Norwood, she continues to value the connections and experiences that have shaped her life.
